Dennehy Motors Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing sales function in Limerick. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving vehicle sales performance, delivering an excellent customer experience, and ensuring the sales team operates to the highest professional standards.
The successful candidate will take ownership of sales results, support and coach the team, and work closely with wider dealership functions to maximise opportunities and deliver strong commercial outcomes. This role is well suited to a motivated leader who combines strong commercial awareness with a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and motivate the vehicle sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
Set clear objectives, monitor individual and team performance, and provide regular coaching and feedback
Drive consistent delivery of a high-quality customer experience throughout the full sales journey
Oversee daily sales operations within the dealership and ensure efficient, professional processes are followed
Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve conversion rates, and strengthen overall sales performance
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand to inform sales strategy
Work closely with finance, aftersales, and management teams to ensure a joined-up customer offering
Ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and maintenance of sales records and performance data
Maintain high standards of compliance, professionalism, and brand representation across all sales activity
Manage stock presentation and support effective vehicle merchandising within the showroom and forecourt
Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally, with a focus on positive outcomes and long-term relationships
Requirements
Significant senior-level experience in motor retail sales, including leadership or management responsibility.
Previous franchise dealership experience essential.
Proven track record of delivering strong vehicle sales results and leading successful sales teams
Strong people management skills with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire performance
Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of dealership sales operations
Strong customer relationship skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding service
Experience in target setting, performance management, and sales reporting
Confident decision-making ability and a proactive, hands-on management style
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Good working knowledge of relevant dealership systems and Microsoft Office applications
