Panel Beater / Spray Painter
Dennehy Pro Plus, is a growing LCV and HGV Renault and MAN dealership in Dublin 15. We are looking for an experienced Panel Beater / Spray Painter to join our busy workshop.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality vehicle body repairs, panel replacement, preparation and spray painting, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer and workshop requirements.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has a good eye for detail and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Assessing vehicle damage and determining the appropriate repair method.
Removing, repairing and replacing damaged body panels and components.
Straightening and aligning panels to ensure correct fit and finish.
Carrying out cosmetic and structural body repairs.
Carrying out MIG/MAG and spot welding where required.
Preparing repaired panels and vehicle surfaces for painting.
Filling, sanding, priming, masking and preparing vehicles to a high standard.
Colour matching and mixing paint where required.
Spray painting vehicles and individual panels to achieve a professional finish.
Polishing and finishing painted areas.
Stripping and refitting vehicle components correctly.
Carrying out quality checks on completed work.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Following all workshop health and safety procedures.
Working efficiently to agreed repair times and maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience as a Panel Beater / Vehicle Body Repairer / Spray Painter.
Strong practical knowledge of vehicle body repair and refinishing.
Experience with panel repair, replacement and alignment.
Experience with welding and body repair techniques.
Good knowledge of vehicle preparation, priming and spray painting.
A strong eye for detail and pride in the quality of their work.
The ability to work independently and manage their own workload.
Good timekeeping and reliability.
A positive attitude and good communication skills.
The ability to work well as part of a team.
A strong commitment to health, safety and maintaining a clean workshop.
Relevant qualifications or a National Craft Certificate are an advantage, but proven experience and quality of workmanship will also be considered.
